Description

5/7/26- For sale is a WWI era ersatz bayonet. These bayonets were produced to meet the needs of the rapidly expanding army and were most often seen in the early years of the war. The blade is bright with very light patina and one or two spots of mild corrosion or imperfections in the blade. There is no maker mark. The handle is a single simple piece of metal with the bayonet locking stud. The scabbard is also a simple metal construction with traces of a green-brown paint. Overall in very good condition.
