Description
2/24/22 - This is a very nice example of an early Springfield M1903 rifle issued to the US military in 1905. It has a Remington bolt and an October 1918-dated barrel. Presumably, this gun was at least partially rebuilt for issue during WW1. It comes with an original front sight hood and leather sling. Overall, it has retained the majority of its finish. There is minor wear around the muzzle and some light streaks of wear on the barrel. Some light splotchy discoloration on the barrel and floor plate. Areas of minor thinning here and there on the receiver. The stock has a "P" proof on the wrist. Overall, it is in very nice condition with only minor bruises and handling marks here and there. The bore has decent rifling with minor pitting throughout.Specifications
