5/12/20 - This is a rare Police issued Mauser P.38 from 1944 in all matching and original condition. There were only 4,600 of this variation produced with Eagle/L proof on slide, with about 3,200 of those being 'byf 44' marked. The pistol has a minty profile with just a bit of high edge wear, but the front strap is pretty thin. It likely left the factory with a weakly finished strap as the pistol shows minimal signs of use and has a mint bore. Fantastic reddish grips. Good mechanics, including de-cocker.
