Description

10/2/26 - This is an early, WWI-era Colt Government Model 1911 sold in the commercial market in 1917. It is all correct with the proper markings. The original bluing rates about 85%, with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, some spotty wear on the front strap, and thinning on the mainspring housing. There are also a few light scratches and marks here and there. Fitted with excellent period-correct checkered wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has strong rifling with some frosting in the grooves. A nice, all-correct commercial Government Model from the WWI years.
