Description
10/15/26 - This is a rare Simson Luger from the Weimar Era. There were only ~12,000 Simson Lugers produced in total. Because Simson was a Jewish-owned company, it was forcibly taken over by the Nazi regime in the early 1930s as part of the broader process of Aryanization, marking the end of its role in Luger production. It is all matching and has the proper Simson "Eagle 6" proofs throughout; however, the first digit of the number on the takedown lever is overstamped, so it is possible this one may have been renumbered. The gun has a shiny nickel-plated, almost chrome finish throughout, with some light pin-pricking under the finish on the front strap and a few light scratches and marks here and there. Fitted with modern replacement wood grips. It comes with a magazine that is technically matching-numbered, but we do not believe the numbering is original. The rifling in the bore is slightly worn with very light frosting throughout. A rare Weimar-era Simson in an eye-catching nickel finish.
